| Hey! How's everyone doin? I am doing great. As you know, I was sick most of last week which really sucked but now I am a whole lot better. This next week I will be working alot so I won't get to see Meagan that much so that sucks. Oh, and to everyone that did not know...meagan and I are back together. It happened at cornerstone so if anyone wants any details on how it happened, call me or something. Other than working not a whole lot is going on. I have been reading when I can and play halo when I am not reading so thats cool. I hope everyone has a great day!! | | |
| Hey! How's everyone doin? Its been awhile since I had a real post. I got back from cornerstone on Sunday and I must say....it was amazing!! I have been sick since I got back so I really haven't felt up to updating. Well, Hunter, Meagan, and I left on Monday afternoon. Stephen Hodge decided he was gunna follow us up there so that is cool with me. Hunter rode with stephen and meagan rode with me. We got there at about 830 set up our tents and relax. We walked around for a little bit. Hunter hit a pop machine and got a free pop so that started the week off good. We went to sleep in our tent and it rained the first night and I had my shoes outside....yikes...but it is all good because I brought an extra pair of shoes. Woke up the next morning....freakin HOT!! Relaxed intill about noon then we went to look at all the bands merch. Good bands really didn't start till later. At about 5, we went over to one of the Tooth And Nail tents to watch August Burns Red....they are my "discovery" band at cornerstone...These guys are amazing!!! As cities burn was next and they were amazing as usual. Later on that night...the fun really started...PROJECT 86...Meagan and I were right up front for them....it was amazing!! The mosh pit was nuts as usual..saw them and was amazed as usual....then went over to see falling up. They were actually amazing live. They did a backflip off a guitar...yes a guitar...and off a piano...nuttso!!! After them, meagan and I just went back and hung out for a while...we lost stephen and hunter alot. Went to sleep at about 2 in the morning.
Wednesday
I am really looking forward to this day....quite possibly might be the best day of my life...We go see family force 5 which I was very impressed with....."crunk music" lol Tried to find the merch table and could not find it. Meagan was very frustrated..lol Then we went to see All But Screaming who are from Cedar Rapids. They were pretty good. Like I told meagan...in about two years...they will have a major label behind them. Then...the madness started....went down to the main stage which is where all the big bands played. As Cities Burn was good as usual but the next band...the chariot....they were crazy!!! The lead singer took the microphone stand and started to beat the amps in on stage...then he crawled under the drums....it was pretty crazy....norma jean was nuts they are soo amazing....but the next two bands were bands that I was looking foward to seeing at the festival....As I lay dying was probably the craziest show ever. Hunter and I went down in the pit and were kicking people and killing everyone. It was so crazy that this one girl was just standing there and this guy walked up to her and punched her in the shoulder...now thats HARDCORE!!! Underoath was next...they were nothing short off amazing. The lead singer climbed up the side of the stage and was about 50 high it was pretty sweet!! I will update more about the other days later. HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
